What Photos Does an EV Installer Need?

Three photos and one optional short video cover almost everything an installer needs to give you a meaningful estimate before visiting.

1. The open electrical panel

Open the panel door — not the interior cover, just the door — and photograph the full breaker layout straight on, close enough to read the numbers on the breakers. Include the main breaker at the top, which shows your service size.

2. The charger location

Photograph the wall where you want the charger, standing back far enough to show the surrounding area and where the vehicle parks. This shows the mounting surface and any obstructions.

3. The route between them

A wide shot showing the path from the panel toward the charger location. This is where a short walkthrough video is even better than a photo.

4. Optional: the walkthrough video

Start at the panel, narrate briefly, and walk slowly toward the charger location showing walls, ceilings, and floors. Thirty to sixty seconds is plenty, and it answers questions a photo cannot.
