A NEMA 14-50 outlet paired with the mobile connector tops out around 32 amps. It is usually less expensive, and the equipment moves with you if you sell the house. For a household driving under 40 miles a day, it is frequently enough.
What affects the price of a Tesla charger installation
Distance from your electrical panel to the charger location, available capacity in the panel, whether the run passes through finished space, and whether the installation is indoors or outdoors are the four factors that move the number most.
Panel work is the wildcard. If your service is at capacity, an installer may recommend load management rather than a full service upgrade — a meaningfully cheaper path when it applies.
