Amperage and breaker sizing
A 48-amp configuration requires a 60-amp dedicated circuit. A 40-amp configuration requires 50 amps, and 32 amps requires 40. The installer configures this during commissioning based on what your panel supports.
Downshifting the amperage is a legitimate way to fit a Wall Connector onto a panel that could not otherwise support one.
Power sharing for two vehicles
Multiple Wall Connectors can be linked so they share a single circuit's capacity, charging both vehicles at reduced speed rather than requiring a service upgrade. For most two-EV households this is more than adequate overnight.
Indoor and outdoor mounting
The Wall Connector is rated for outdoor installation. Indiana homeowners often still prefer a garage-interior mount for cable flexibility in winter and to keep the unit out of weather.
