What amperage to install
A 40 or 48-amp charger comfortably replenishes an IONIQ 5 overnight from a typical daily state of charge. A 32-amp installation is still perfectly workable for lower-mileage households and is easier on a constrained panel.
NACS and connector changes
Newer Hyundai models are moving to the NACS connector while older ones use CCS. Your home charger connector type should match your vehicle or be adapted — confirm before purchasing hardware.
